Giovedì 5 aprile alle ore 17.30, "Postcolonial and cross-cultural Narratives. A certain identity" è il secondo appuntamento di vernissage e artists talk del ciclo Global Identities, diretto da Valentina Gensini, a Le Murate. Progetti Arte Contemporanea.
Il progetto che mette in relazione artisti di differente nazionalità intorno alla questione dell’identità, migrando in diversi paesi europei. Per la prima mostra sono stati invitati in Italia i giovani artisti lituani Arnas Anskaitis, Ignas Krunglevičius, Andrej Polukord, Ieva Rojūtė. Il titolo con la parola “certain”, in italiano “certa”, assume il doppio significato possibile: come aggettivo è sinonimo di certezza – l’identità in cui ci si può senza dubbio riconoscere – invece come aggettivo indefinito, senza qualità né quantità, indica un’identità tra molte possibili.

As Second episode of The GLOBAL IDENTITIES cicle, A certain identity is a project that brings together artists of different nationalities to express themselves about identity issues. The first exhibition of the project, presents the young Lithuanian artists Arnas Anskaitis, Ignas Krunglevičius, Andrej Polukord, Ieva Rojūtė. The certain , as an integral part of the title, in Italian “certa”, takes on a double meaning: as an adjective it is synonymous with certainty, the identity which we can undoubtedly recognize, as an alternative it is also an indefinite adjective, without quality or quantity, indicating an identity that is possible among many others.
